Heinola Open for 30 years

Heinola Open has been held over 20 times since it began in the late 1990s. The event’s size and format have varied over the years, and in 2026 it is the largest international disc golf event held in Finland.

Come and see how American professionals and other elite players of the sport take on the challenging and elevation-rich Championship course at Kippis.

Heinola Open 2026

A DGPT Elite-level event will be held from Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12 at the Kippis Championship course in Heinola.

The event is organized by the Heinola-based disc golf club Lords of DiscGolf ry, founded in 2001, in cooperation with the Disc Golf Pro Tour.

Tickets for the audience

You will be able to enter the event with a ticket only. Ticket sales through DGPT.

Only expection is Friday 10th of July, when there are free tickets available through DGPT ticket sales.

Featuring the absolute world elite such as Gannon Buhr, Ricky Wysocki, Anthony Barela, as well as all the top Finnish names like Niklas Anttila.

Course

The Kippis Championship course is a top-level competitive layout designed to be extremely challenging, combining elements from Kippis’s different courses.

A round of the course takes about 3.5 hours, and you’ll walk a little over 7 kilometers.

Café

The Kippis Café serves throughout the entire event. Refreshments, sweet treats, and savory snacks are available. From the grill, enjoy Makkara-Make’s tasty sausages, with or without a bun!

Three food trucks will be at the event center, so you’re guaranteed to get something delicious to keep you going while watching top-level disc golf all day.

A sales area will be set up at the heart of the event center, where you’ll find a wide range of products such as disc golf equipment and gear, clothing, footwear, and much more!

Notice

Courses are open to play only for DGPT competitors and volunteers during the event week.

You can play the course through paid public rounds by booking a suitable tee time via the Disc Times app. The opening of bookings will be announced separately.

Media production

The competition is filmed as a live broadcast for the Disc Golf Network subscription channels, and as free post-produced coverage on YouTube.
